The Mechanical Engineering Department at KIET Deemed to be University (Formerly KIET Group of Institutions), Ghaziabad established a state-of-the-art Two Wheeler Skill Development Center (SDC) in 2022 in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp Ltd. and the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) with the inspiring vision of “HUNAR SE KAMYABI TAK” (From Skill to Success). The center is dedicated to nurturing practical competencies among youth and enhancing employability through industry-aligned skill development in the automotive sector. Designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements, the center provides comprehensive training in Two-Wheeler Preventive Maintenance and Repair by integrating conceptual knowledge with intensive hands-on practical exposure in a modern workshop environment equipped with advanced tools, diagnostic equipment, and training vehicles.

Beyond training external youth, the Skill Development Center serves as a dynamic experiential learning platform for B.Tech students of Mechanical Engineering and related branches at KIET. Through specially curated short-term skill enhancement programs ranging from 20 to 40 hours, students gain valuable exposure to automotive technology, vehicle systems, and professional servicing practices. These programs immerse learners in real workshop scenarios, enabling them to develop hands-on technical expertise, analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and practical confidence. As a result, students become better prepared for internships, industry engagement, and placement opportunities across automobile manufacturing companies, authorized service networks, and automotive workshops. By fostering strong industry–academia collaboration and promoting outcome-based, skill-oriented education, the Two Wheeler Skill Development Center plays a pivotal role in transforming technical knowledge into career-ready competencies, truly embodying the vision of “Hunar se Kamyabi Tak” by converting skills into successful career pathways for students and youth.
