Hostel Life at KIET: A Home Away From Home
Each hostel has residential Wardens who are monitored by a Rector (A senior faculty member) of KIET to address day to day issues of the hostel residents promptly. The entire team is controlled by an HMC (Hostel Management Committee, consisting of Executive Director, Dean SW, Chief Rectors, Rectors and Administrative officer).
To ensure security and safety of the hostel inmates 24X7 security guards are deputed on duty. We provide a secured, disciplined and friendly campus environment having student portal and Mobile app to get online suggestions, feedback and grievances of every resident regarding food, maintenance and other feedback. Immediate actions are taken within hours to resolve the issues for the welfare of our students. The multi-purpose complex, is available for the residents after college hours for the day to day needs.
Boys’ Hostels
The hostel provides a feeling of "In-Home-Away-From-Home" to the students. Keeping in view the same philosophy, we provide a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents. Boy’s Hostel comprises six hostels - CV Raman, Aryabhatt, Tagore, Vivekanand, Chandragupt, and Chanakya. Each hostel is thoughtfully designed, offering spacious, well-ventilated, rooms that ensure a clean and comfortable living environment. Residents enjoy a wide range of modern amenities, including an air-conditioned mess, dedicated study rooms, and common TV rooms, all designed to create a balance between academics and leisure. For fitness and recreation, students have access to both indoor and outdoor sports facilities, along with a state-of-the-art gymnasium guided by a professional trainer. The entire hostel campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring seamless connectivity. To keep students informed, renowned newspapers and magazines are delivered daily. Each hostel has its own mess committee of students, empowering residents to decide the menu according to their preferences. Emphasis is placed on serving a nutritious and balanced diet that supports the overall growth and well-being of every hosteller. Additional conveniences include warm water in washrooms during winters, RO-purified drinking water with hot/cold dispensers, pantries with kettles, self- laundry services, cafeterias, lift access, and vending machines. The health and safety of residents are of utmost importance. Hostels are maintained with regular housekeeping services and insecticide fogging, while medical needs are supported through a well-equipped medical room, visiting doctors, and 24×7 ambulance availability.
Festivals and special occasions are celebrated together, creating a warm, inclusive, and homely atmosphere for all students.
Girls’ Hostels
The girls’ hostels offer a safe, peaceful, and comfortable environment designed to support academic success and personal growth. Our hostels are designed to provide a wide range of modern facilities to ensure comfort, convenience, and well-being for its residents. Key amenities include an air-conditioned mess, air-conditioned study room, air- conditioned gymnasium with a professional trainer, visitors’ room, along with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Students benefit from seamless connectivity through Wi-Fi and LAN, as well as provisions like warm water in washrooms during winter, RO purified drinking water with hot/cold dispensers, a pantry with induction and kettle, laundry services, lift access, vending machines, a cafeteria, and a confectionery shop. Health and safety are prioritized with a fully equipped medical room, 24×7 ambulance service, and sanitary disposal machines, while additional conveniences such as a beauty parlour further enhance the residential experience.
