Comprised of seven talented individuals hailing from various stages of academic achievement, this dynamic team boldly faced off against 45 formidable contenders representing the pinnacle of global ingenuity. Their remarkable performance culminated in the coveted Crash and Burn Award, a testament to their daring spirit and perseverance, securing a commendable 9th place on the world stage. A triumph celebrated not only by the team but by enthusiasts worldwide, as they continue to push the boundaries of exploration and inspire future generations.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised a visit to Delhi Machine Tool Expo-2023, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi for final year students on 24th August' 2023. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is thrilled to share that the student branch of ASHRAE has been formally formed on May 31, 2023. ASHRAE-(American Society for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Engineers) is an international society. ASHRAE officials Mr. Abhishek Jain, Mr. Ranjeet, and Ms. Indrani from Delhi Chapter presented the membership certificates to 16 students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. President Mr. Ayush Yadav, Vice President Mr. Saatvik Jain, and Secretary Mr. Anubhav Kumar took the oath of their respective responsibilities. HoD(ME), Dr. Ashish Karnwal and student body advisor Dr. Sandeep Chhabra congratulated the student members and encouraged them to actively participate in all the activities of ASHRAE.
"Design Analysis is essentially a decision-making process to develop a product model that can be converted into an actual product with minimum time and money loss" To impart the insight of Design Analysis, KIET-SAE and Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted an Expert Talk on 17th March' 2023 for pre-final year students. Mr. Mayank Dwivedi, Senior Technology Specialist, ANSYS conducted the session. Mr. Mayank detailed about Role of Designing and Analysis in product development, Career opportunities for Mechanical Engineers in Designing and Analysis, Tools used in Analysis and future of designing. Mr. Mayank emphasized on vast opportunities in the Analysis field. The Session was very interactive and informative. Students got their queries resolved and appreciated the efforts of the expert.
A Guest Talk was organized for 3rd year students on 21st Feb 2023 in offline mode. The talk was delivered by Mr. Arjun Chhabra, Asstt. Prof., ACE Academy. Prospects after completing Mechanical Engineering, Scope after cracking GATE, Tips & amp, concept discussion of SOM were the highlights for the talk.
To assist final year students to prepare for Campus Placement Interview, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has initiated a "Meet the Achievers" program. Here guidance is provided to the students who have been shortlisted for the campus interview by the alumni who were placed in the same organisation in the previous years. In this series, an alumni Interaction was held yesterday (13th Jan 2023, 7:30 PM) online through MS Team. Resource persons of the session Mr. Atul Verma, Mr. Himanshu Sharma, Mr. Nainish Kumar and Mr. Shrey Arora (BTech-ME; 2018-22) are working as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) with Adani Power Ltd. These alumni addressed and guided the shortlisted final year ME students. The session was well appreciated by all the students.

An industrial visit com showcase was organised by the department of Mechanical Engineering on 9th April 2022 in LPS Bossard Pvt limited, Rohtak for prefinal year students. The trip started sharp at 9.30 AM from the campus with 38 students under the mentorship of Mr Neeraj Kumar and Mr Puneet Kumar Dawer. The group reached at 11.30 AM in the industry premises. We were welcomed by Ms Neha Mehndiratta, HR Head, LPS Bossard and then the physical tour got started on the shop floor. The company is the second largest fasteners, nuts, bolts and screws and having Switzerland base in manufacturing.
Mechanical engineering department organized a industrial visit for III YR students on 09-04-22 to Gauri components pvt. Ltd. A total of 21 students went for visit. The students were accompanied by a faculty member and a lab technician.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is organizing a "Skill Development course on Design & Product Development" from 7th April’2022 to 2nd May’2022.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has started the Quality Connect Campaign to engage with consumers in direct connect mode. The campaign was undertaken through a network of youth volunteers, called the Manak Mitra. The success of the Campaign is dependent on the ability of Manak Mitra to engage comprehensively with the household and share information about BIS activities. This time, the BIS Ghaziabad branch office performed the Youth to Youth Campaign on 18/03/2024 through its approved KIET-BIS Club (GOI approved club). The Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS-KIET) and KIET had established Standard Club with registration no SC-4109. The club was inaugurated on October 17, 2022, under the mentorship of Mr. Neeraj Kumar (AP, ME).
As per the guidelines of BIS, the standard club organized its two activities in KSOP Auditorium, KIET campus as follows:
1) Standards Creation Competition in which a team of 4-5 members created and presented standards with the help of PowerPoint presentations. The best 3 winners got cash prizes.
2) Youth to Youth Campaign Campaign was flagged off on the same day in which the selected participants needed to spread information about Standards on the campus to a minimum of 25 individuals via the BIS App. Each successful candidate got Rs 1500/- in his/her account directly.
50 students from different streams registered and attended the programme, Dr Ashish Karnwal (HOD, ME), Mr Neeraj Kumar (AP,ME), Dr Sachin Rathore (AP,ME), Mr Baadal (Adams Mentor) were present during the session.
