Prof (Dr.) Satish Kumar, a senior IEEE member (USA), an academician cum career counsellor of having more than 18 years of experience in engineering teaching, research, and administration, has received his Ph.D., M.Tech. and B.E. from National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU),Aligarh and Faculty of Engineering, Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI),Agra respectively. Presently, he is working as Professor & Dean Student Welfare in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, India. He has published variety of technical papers in various international & national conferences/ journals like Springer, Taylor & Francis with impact factor up to 2.65. He has published 01 patent.He has authored 1 Book Chapter and also guided 1 M.Tech. thesis. He has conducted and attended several workshops and FDP in the field of power systems and its related area and domain. He has delivered many expert national and international lectures on Economic operation of power system, Renewable energy Integration, Modelling of FACTS, Deregulation, power quality, and various motivational lectures on Values Education. He has also attended more than 100 short term training programs. He has also worked for several administrative responsibilities at university and institute level such as, examination centre superintendent/ Assistant centre superintendent, evaluation coordinator, Head Examiner/Dy Head Examiner, Observer, Center Controllers, Member BOS etc. During his career, he has been invited for expert talks in many senior secondary schools for students counselling and in engineering colleges for his lectures on several activities like the faculty development program, webinar workshops etc. His broad area of interest includes Deregulated Power Systems, FACTs devices, Electric Market, Ancillary Services, Computer Applications in Power System and Hybrid Power Systems.
