PHARMACOGNOSY

Dr. Deepti Katiyar is an Assistant Professor-Research in KIET School of Pharmacy at KIET Group of institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad. She has completed her B.Pharm (college topper) in 2006 and M. Pharm (Silver Medalist in Pharmacognosy in UPTU) in 2008 from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, UP, India. She has also qualified GATE in 2006. She has three awards to her credit. She started her first job at RITM, Lucknow where she worked as Assistant Professor. Since 2011 she is working as Assistant Professor in KIET School of Pharmacy, Ghaziabad, UP. She received her PhD degree in 2018 at the same institution. Throughout her career in KIET she has been a dedicated, sincere and responsible faculty in terms of academics, research as well as administrative duties. In her academic career she has taught number of subjects such as Pharmacogny and Phytochemistry, Natural Products, Biochemistry, Inorganic Pharmaceutical Chemistry, General Pharmacy etc. She has an expertise in extraction and isolation of phytomolecules, formulation of herbals, standardization of herbal drugs and formulations, biological screening of herbal products and their stability studies. She has guided one M. Pharm and 31 B. Pharm projects. She has a total experience of 13 years in academics and 15 years in research during which she has published one book chapter and 32 research and review articles in International Journals of high repute. She also serving as the Rector-Sarojini Girls Hostel, is a member of Institute Anti-ragging squad, NDLI club, library advisory committee at Institute level. At departmentment level she is taking care of minor specialization in DRA, MOOCs, Value added courses, mentoring, library, women cell etc. She has also been selected as the Research Faculty for the session 2021-22 and designated as Assistant Professor-Research.
