Description

Case Club believes in “Making problems an opportunity to unleash creativity”. The club is incorporated to infuse critical thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills among students. They will develop the ability to understand, interpret and draw inferences from businesses’ success/ failure by utilizing case-based analysis. The club would develop and publish cases in the public domain. These cases may be used in classroom teaching as well in the research. This would strengthen case-based learning and create a niche in the education sector.

Objective:

  • To infuse critical and analytical thinking among students
  • To develop the ability to understand, interpret and draw inferences from Businesses’ success/ failure
  • Provide a platform to those who know how to put their perspective into place To promote inter-college competitions
  • To enhance the creative writing skills of students

Outcome:
The faculties and students would be able to develop and publish cases in the public domain. These cases may be used in classroom teaching as well in the research. This would also strengthen case-based learning and create a niche in the education sector.

Activities Proposed:

  • Compact case writing competition: Participants will prepare caselets on changing market scenarios or products.
  • Case solutions aimed at local businesses: Participants would findreal-life cases and provide feasible solutions. They would provide solutions to these real life problems.
  • Open Mic Competition: A two-round competition including the screening and the finale where candidates w free to choose the topic on which they wish to exhibit their views.
  • Situation Analysis and Reaction: Participants have to analyze the situation and react within the stipulated time frame.
  • Guest Lectures/ Seminars/ Conferences: Guests with expertise in case writing will be invited to deliver lectures on the same.
  • Workshops in case writing: Students will be exposed to case writing workshops by experts.
  • Publications: Once in a year all the finalized Cases/Case Solutions will be published in the yearly E-Book of Case Club.

Membership: Open for KIETIANS

Club Structure: A total of 8 positions are there in the club where the post of Chairperson is occupied by a faculty member only and the rest by the students.
