The Department of Computer Science organized an industrial visit to Blogic Software Technology Pvt. Ltd.

Department of Computer Science had planned the Industrial Visit at Training Basket - I-Thum IT Tower, Industrial Area, Sector 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201309 on 29th Jan 2024. This Visit was for Second year Section-B students of the Computer Science branch. On 29th April 2024, the bus departed from KIET Campus at 9.30 AM and reached Blogic Software Technology Pvt. Ltd, Campus: Training Basket around 10:45 AM. A total of 40 students joined the industrial
visit.Ms. Priyanju Rai along with her team started the session with presentation on their company profile after which basics of Cybersecurity were discussed.

Industrial Visit Agenda :-

(A) Introduction to Cyber Security, Threats, and Precautionary Measures :- The workshop commenced with an overview of cybersecurity, highlighting its importance in the digital age. Participants were introduced to common cyber threats such as malware, phishing, and social engineering attacks. Precautionary measures, including the importance of strong passwords, software updates, and data encryption, were discussed to mitigate these threats effectively.

(B) Exposure to Networking Labs :- Participants were provided with hands-on experience through networking labs, where they had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting. The labs covered topics
such as network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, allowing participants to gain valuable insights into real-world scenarios.

(C) Discussion on Various Certifications Related to Cybersecurity :- A comprehensive overview of various cybersecurity certifications was provided, including but not limited to Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). The discussion focused on the importance of certifications in enhancing career prospects and validating expertise in specific areas of cybersecurity.

(D) Awareness about Job Opportunities in Cybersecurity Domain :- The workshop concluded with a discussion on the diverse career opportunities available in the cybersecurity domain. Participants were informed about the increasing demand for cybersecurity professionals across various industries and the evolving nature of roles such as security analyst, penetration tester, and incident responder. Strategies for career advancement and professional
development were also shared.

Conclusion: -
The Industrial visit where the Introduction to Cyber Security provided participants with a solid foundation in cybersecurity, equipping them with essential knowledge, practical skills, and awareness about career opportunities in this dynamic field. The Industrial visit served as a steppingstone for participants to further explore and pursue a career in cybersecurity with confidence and readiness. The entire session was interactive, students learned lots of things from there, and has shown keen interest in such industrial visit in near future.
