The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences organized a guest talk on the topic "Leveraging soft skills for a professional demeanor" for the first-year students of KSoM on June 16th, 2K23.
The guest speaker was our proud alumnus of KSoM, Mr. Harshit Raj Srivastava (presently working with TCS as an HR).

The session was opened by Prof. Komal Mehrotra, Head- HSS by welcoming Mr. Srivastava.

Mr. Srivastava threw light on the significance of soft skills in the AI-dominated professional world. He also discussed how fresh graduates can leverage soft skills for ensuring success in the recruitment process by creating an impressive resume and preparing well for the interview.

He also conducted a couple of mock interviews with the students to provide hands-on experience of appearing in an interview. His comprehensive feedback during the mock interview covered a gamut of soft skills like verbal communication, choice of words, voice dynamics, body language, confidence, and attitude.

The talk was appreciated by all and the students had an enlightening discussion with the guest speaker even after the session.
