Engineering emphasizes practical application more than theory, so students often have a better understanding of the subject when they experience it firsthand.

 

 

In keeping with this practical approach, the Department of Civil Engineering's B.Tech 3rd & 4th year students embarked on an excursion to Tehri Dam, the tallest dam in India, and the Hydro Power Complex on February 20th and 21st, 2023.

 

 

The group, consisting of 50 students and two faculty members, visited the Tehri Dam and Hydro Power Complex, which provided an enlightening experience for the students as they witnessed this colossal structure. This excursion was a valuable opportunity for Civil Engineering students to broaden their knowledge and acquire practical exposure to the site.

 

 

Throughout the visit, the faculty coordinators, Dr. Atul Kant Piyoosh and Mr. Siddharth Jain, guided the students and offered explanations, answering questions and providing context.
