Department of Computer Science organized a Two days workshop on “Introduction to DevOps” from 29 Dec to 30 Dec 2022. In the workshop, 20 faculty members participated and benefitted.
Day 1 Report:
The session was started by the additional head remarks about the initiative taken by the department in skill development and the role of DevOps. Add. Head, Prof. Raj Kumar greet the speaker of the day, Prof. Anurag Mishra, with an oxyplant.
Prof. Mishra started his session with the open feedback and ask a bit about DevOps. He discussed the history of software models and how DevOps came to existence.

Participants found the interaction was fruitful and they asked few questions as well.
Day 2 Report:
It was the hands-on session. Prof. Anurag Mishra discussed about the installation process. The participants installed the respective software in E411 Lab on the systems with i7 Processor and 16 GB RAM. As a pre-requisite, Java 11 and Jenkins are required to work on DevOps. Prof. Amit Sanger also helped in installation and the execution process of the workshop.
Few more points about day 2:
In the end of workshop, Head of the department Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Shrivastava, thank all the participants for attending the workshop. HoD sir also suggested to use the content and knowledge of workshop to deliver the same in classroom teaching of Software engineering and software project management.
