Team DSDC, Department of Computer Applications organized a 5 days online STC/FDP on “Open Source Technologies” in association with NITTTR, Chandigarh from 17th oct- 21st oct, 2022 through Google Meet. There were more than 130 participants including remote centers and individual participations, KIET Group of Institutions being one of the remote centers where we have approx. 30 registered faculty/ staff members.

Each day featured three sessions led by renowned academics and business leaders from across the world, and participants were required to attend 80% of them. A quiz session was held at the end of the last day to gauge participants' knowledge and comprehension.

Sessions on reference management software like Mendeley, research writing software like latex and overleaf, hands-on Jupiter notebook sessions, and many more topics were covered in this series. The linked schedule for each day is as follows:

The FDP was successfully arranged and managed under the direction of our esteemed department head, Dr. Arun Kr. Tripathi, as well as our coordinator, Ms. Divya Singhal, our co-coordinator, Mr. Siddheshwari Dutt Mishra, and our technical lab expert, Mr. Sujeet Singh.
