The Infrastructure

The infrastructure development of our institute has been a continuous process. 18.5 acres of area, houses our five academic departments that cater to the academic needs of the students.Oue focus has been on simultaneous growth of both basic needs like class rooms, laboratories, drawing hall, workshop, library, conference hall, etc. for academic activities on one hand and students support facilities like hostels, canteen, stationary shop, medical support, transport, students activity center etc. on the other hand. The development of the institute has been planned in in a phased manner so that the required facilities become available well before their need arises.

The Library

A major source of inspiration is the enlightening environment of our library which has a collection of 17000 plus books under 3080 titles in the engineering, science & technology, computers, communication and management, etc. Subscribing to over 171 Indian and international journals, the library is an exclusive member of DELNET & the British Council Library. DELNET has thrown open the gates of the enormous storehouse of information for our Library.

It is fully automated with the RAMLIB Library Management Software System. The facility of CDROM. the electronic media and the internet linkage is a major gateway for the students to the brave new world.

Hostels

On campus Boys & Girls hostel accommodating 1000 students has been provided complete with beds, chairs, tables, cupboards etc.

Each hostel has been provided with adequate security and telephone connection besides recreational facilities like TV, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Newspapers/ magazines etc.

The off campus hostels have been provided with mini-library containing the books relevant to the ongoing semester. The institute bus commutes the hosteller to and from the institute. Construction of an additional hostel for boys and girls is in the advanced stage of planning.

Computer Science & Engineering Department

The Computer Science & Engineering and the Information Technology Department is a self-driven proactive nerve center, which caters to the ever-growing technology in the sphere of academic, research and training needs of computing concepts, tools and techniques in the profession of Computer Science and Information Technology.

The department caters to the two streams of graduate courses i.e., Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, and one post graduate course in Computer Application. The department can boast of sufficiently large IT infrastructure with many more ambitious projects in the pipeline in the years to come. Presently it has the following.

  • Over 260 state of art internationally branded P-III/IV personal computers equipped with the latest application software platforms.
  • A set of dedicated servers deployed in a fully networked configuration based on the concept of server computing.
  • A 'Data Communication and Computer Networking' simulation lab.
  • Incubators offer a unique opportunity of achievement, innovation and creative professional techno economic excellence.
  • 128 kbps radio link for 24 hour internet connectivity.

Electronics & Communications Engineering Department

Electronics and Communications Department provides graduate level courses in the two crucial fields that significantly affect the way we live today. The graduate program covers all the standard subjects in both disciplines.

The objective of the Department is to prepare students with a good foundation so that they graduate to becoming effective systems engineers.

The department has dedicated faculty members and a well-equipped modern infrastructure. The results in the university examinations have been excellent throughout. The department has well-equipped labs for the following.

  • Solid-state devices/Circuits.

  • Networks & Systems Lab.
  • Measurement Lab.
  • Electrical Machines Lab.
  • Power Electronic Lab.
  • Control System Lab.
  • Switch Gear & Protection Lab.
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) Lab.

CAD Lab

The Only one of its kind in U.P., with 30 computers. The lab has 30 user MATLAB 6.5 (Release 13) software with Power System, Non-Linear Control Design, Communication Blockset & Control System, communication, Signal Processing toolbox as well as Report generator. All analysis & simulation work can be done. The Lab also has ORCAD PSPICE Engineering suite for preparing Schematics, Analysis & Simulation, Optimization & PCB layout for different circuits. This lab is extensively used for final year project of B.E. students. Very soon there will be additions of DSP, Instrumentation Control, Fuzzy Logic, Neural N/W toolboxes in the MATLAB. Micro Controller programmer is also available & is widely used for embedded systems programming of final year projects.
