Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics since 01th July 2002. He is also serving as DEAN (ECA) from Feb 2014. Prof. Gupta did his B. Tech. from NIT Kurukshetra, and received the M. Tech. and Ph. D. degrees from UPTU Lucknow and JMI, New Delhi, respectively. His researches are in the areas of Neural Networks, Networks-on-Chip, Image Processing and Fuzzy Logic. He has published about thirty five research papers in refereed International and National Journals and proceedings of International and National conferences. He is appointed Treasurer, IEEE-Computational Intelligence Society, Delhi Chapter. He is Member of Jury Panel of All IEEE-Region10 (THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION)Engineers' Humanitarian Challenge. One of the project title: “Facilitation of Medical Expertise in Cancer” is funded by IEEE USA. He is Received Certificate of Appreciation for superior performance in KIET Ghaziabad for the Academic Year 2012-13. He is Recognize the innovative and promising concept design for title “ Record for Life” by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1998 to impart quality education to the budding Engineers interest in this field. As 21st century is the century of competition, our motto is to produce graduates who will be technically sound, well cultured and globally competent. Currently our department is offering B.Tech course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Masters Program in Power Electronics and Drives. The strength of the department is its well qualified and experienced faculty & support staff with state-of-the-art laboratories. It is also a centre for IEEE CIS Technical chapter and EESA society to nurture the talent and skills of the students.
The Department has installed an advance computational laboratory, first of its kind in the western UP. Other laboratories like Basic Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives and Machines have been developed with new table top equipments, giving a scope to all the students to handle and perform the experiments individually, which will increase their confidence to face the practical problems in the field of engineering.
We continue to strive to meet our mission to mould today’s youth into world-class technocrats of tomorrow, who would endeavor to increase the quality of life of human kind. I am confident that our students would be asset to any organization through their technical and managerial capabilities.
