Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh is Professor and Head, Civil Engineering having his Ph.D. –Structure from IIT Kharagpur awarded in 2006. His major area of academic focus is to trained the civil engineering students on latest trend and practices for design of tall and slender buildings, factories, bridges and water work structure based on Indian and International codes of design practices for concrete and steel structure using latest software’s like STADD, ETAB, SAFE, RAM CONCEPT, REVIT, AUTOCAD, TEKLA etc. He is also training the students for project management skills required to deliver the large and complex nature of Civil Engineering Projects. He has 20+ years of excellent experience in design and detailing of steel structures/RCC structures. His steel experience includes the design of industrial buildings, pre-engineered buildings, elevated large span connecting bridges in steel / concrete, road under passes with heavy traffic loads, elevated/ underground storage tanks in RCC / Concrete, storage structures and hoppers. He has designed many RCC structures which includes hi-rise buildings, silos, machine foundations etc. His expertise includes analysis and design of steel structures/ RCC structures using Indian (IS) British (BS) and American codes. He has in-depth understanding of technical procedures for strength assessments of old structures and establish the procedure for retrofitting. His major area of expertise is design of earthquake resistant structures specially tall / slender structure. He was also involved in preparation of Feasibility Reports, Tender Specifications and drawings, technical evaluation of offers, design and detailing of steel structures including approval of fabrication drawings and designer’s supervision at site. Dr. Santosh have successfully delivered the large and complex nature of steel and concrete building structures designed as per IS/ BS / American codes and have successfully implemented the appropriate structural system for architectural visions by Architects of National and International repute.
