The college started in 1998 and ever since this branch
has remained an undisputed member of KIET. Electrical Engineering
has always been the core area of engineering along with mechanical
and civil engineering, here apart from usual theory and exposure
to high-tech practical kits, students actively participate in
the Industrial Interaction organized by EESA which gives them
great exposure to various business enabled technologies.
The Electrical & Electronics department is
also running PG course (M. Tech.) on Power Electronics & Drives
successfully. The subject deals with the control of electric drives
using advanced microprocessors and advanced controllers. These
drives find application in railways, traction, robotics, process
control etc.
