Department of Computer Applications was established in 1999, accredited by NBA since March'12 as a preeminent department for the excellence of its teaching. The department enjoys a rich heritage with 1600+ alumni. It offers a post graduate degree with 3-years (6 semesters) course approved by AICTE that is run under the curriculum of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (APJAKTU) and has an intake of 120 students. The programme is designed to provide technical skills to students so that they become successful computer professional in the fast changing IT scenario. The course is carefully redesigned and updated by the University from time to time keeping in view the ever changing trends in IT industry.

The department focuses not only on syllabus coverage but also emphasizes on students’ hands on experience by making projects involving current technology. Soft skill classes, PDP Classes, industry interaction by corporate visits are provided for better enhancements of student skills. The department offers a separate library that has books for different subjects & titles related to Computer Science and Applications. Different journals, magazines and newspaper are also available to the students.

Over the years, there has been a continuous progress in all academic activities. It is also evolving and changing with national aspirations, national prospective and worldwide trends. All the alumni are associated and working with well notable-established companies across the country and abroad.
